CML Security has completed renovation of the security electronics on the CUCF Gunnison project, located in Gunnison, UT.

This five month long replacement project consisted of the replacement of hard panel controls and Program Logic Controllers (PLC’s) with a new redundant touch screen control system and PLCs, modification of existing 25V and 75V intercom system, and CCTV call-up integration with an existing analog CCTV system; all within an occupied facility.

“Nate Ingro, CML’s engineer and field technician, was integral to ensuring all wiring, control, and intercom issues were solved,” said CML’s electronics division manager, Blake Bretz on the team that completed the Gunnison renovation. “Our programmer, Mark Geisert, coded the entire system utilizing the existing IO as a starting point to facilitate a smooth and quick cutover with minimal system outages. Our onsite project manager and field technician, Tom Albrecht, worked with Nate to ensure all wiring issues were completed, and also helped to maintain a good relationship with the facility staff.”

The expedited system installation was aided by numerous facility personnel who went out of their way to ensure our field staff had access to every area and system in a timely manner.  Their aid and knowledge of the existing systems was key to providing a reliable and robust system for both the installation and support phases of the project.
